I love this. It makes it so clear to me that as one of Jehovahs Witnesses we are essentially canvassing for God's Kingdom. The public demonstration separating

ourselves from mainstream Christianity was necessary as was our stance of political neutrality. We are are still organizationally recieving reminders continuously in regard to keeping our minds and hearts neutral. It protects me from much anxiety while I keep my perephials aware of my fellow humans suffering and my focus on Christ, my King. My absolute Savior who I adore. Daniel 2:44 makes it clear that God's Kingdom is political and interacts with world powers. Much bible prophecy outside of Daniel substantiates this. Jesus made it clear both rejecting attempts to physically make him a king and outright telling his followers, 'my kingdom is no part of this world'.... we are NOT affiliated. Revelation shows religion affiliated with any form of human government is viewed by Creator as a prostitute drunk on the blood of the prophets and Manifest Destiny is a far cry from " you recieve free give free". My only cringe is when he talks about 'pagans'. It's a bit off putting in relation to our global understanding of cultures and thier spirituality (many of them Creator centric) but in the context of biblical history, the Israelites whom the Creator was using to bring the messiah and sanctification of His name were surrounded by spiritual cultures who would sacrifice thier own children in fire to Molech. Then His own people would adopt cultural traditions and do something He calls in Deuteronomy 'detestible'. I don't believe the Creator appreciates affiliation with false doctrine of hellfire either. Control through fear prevents humans from making a free will choice out of love and our love....is the ONLY THING that the all powerful Creator of life, physics, matter needs and doesn't feel He has the right to take....is our love.

Jehovah’s Witnesses identify as Christians, but their beliefs are different from other Christians in some ways. What I learned in 50 years of being

a member is that due to this "Religion is a Snare and a Racket" stand they took in 1939, they did not want to be labeled with other so-called religions, but in reality and by traditional measures of religious commitment, Jehovah’s Witnesses are one of the most highly religious major U.S. religious groups along with Mormons, 7th Day Adventists and Catholics. Thus all are religions. I am certified as a Doctor Of Divinity as well as a Non-Denominational Ordained Minister.
A religion can only be known by their beliefs and teachings plus they belong to the wider culture of today’s society; its adherents typically come and go freely. However a cult tends to be counter-cultural, restricting the social life of its adherents to other cult members, shunning those who mis behave and sadly use mind control techniques to control members.
